Grates
Round Tube Type
• Ceramic
• Alnico
• Rare Earth Neodymium
Prefix "N"
Magnetic grates deliver ferrous tramp metal separation in bins, chutes, drawers, hoppers, and circular enclosures.
Grate Magnets are constructed with one inch diameter magnetic tubes placed on two (2) inch centers in heavy duty 1/8" thick 2" wide 304 stainless steel framing. The unitized tubes in grates have seam welded
ends and each tube is securely welded to the heavy duty framing. The all welded round magnetic grates are available in 30 standard diameters from 4 inches through 36 inches. Special sizes are also available.
Each of these round grates can be equipped with diverters.
The high strength magnet material used in magnetic grates has an approximate magnetic loss of ½ of 1 percent per 100 years.
Round Tube Type Diveters
When ordering rectangular grates, select the size desired. Then use the diverter style letter as a prefix to the model number. Example -- to order a 6W6L grate with a "B" style diverter, the order should read B6W6L.
Style "N"
No diverters
Style "A"
The popular 90° angle gives optimum direction of material to magnet. Ideal for fines. Peak is 1-5/8" (4.1275cm) from center of magnet.
Style "B"
For medium or soft materials. 60° angle gives freer material flow but less material contact with magnet.
Style "C"
For coarse regrind or where minimum flow restriction desired. 3/8" (.9525cm) dia. solid stainless rod.

ROUND TUBE GRATE CONSTRUCTION

Magnetic grates are constructed from 300 Series stainless steel with top and bottom welding of each magnet tube within the supporting frames of the grate. This two position welded construction results in grates capable of delivering extended service and performance.
Selecting the correct size Magnetic Hopper Grates
Grate should fit into hopper 8 to 10" above the hopper floor. - Choose from standard sizes shown. If in doubt, go to next largest measurements.

Square Tube Type
Ceramic - Neodymium
Prefix "S"
Square tube separation grates are ideal for heavy duty applications where high product volume is involved.
Having strong magnetic fields, the square tubes are installed with the leading edge toward the material flow. This positioning helps eliminate material bridging and provides a protected collecting area along the bottom of the magnet where ferrous tramp metal remains out of the material flow.
Constructed from 304 stainless steel, magnet tubes have seam welded ends, and are mounted in a ¼" thick x 2 ½" high stainless steel bar framing.
Available in sixty-six standard square or rectangular sizes, these square tube grates are the point-of-entry receiving areas.
