Plate Magnets
Flush Face (FF)
Flush Face (FF) Plate Magnets deliver optimum tramp metal separation performance when used in above-the-flow chute or belt applications. When installed over the material flow, the powerful Flush Face plate magnets deliver continuous magnetic protection for down stream processing equipment by lifting ferrous tramp out of the product flow stream.

Spout Magnet (SM)
Dual diverter Spout Magnets (SM) provide maximum ferrous tramp metal separation in high volume chute applications where wash-off can be a problem. SM's employ a primary diverter to prevent tramp metal "wash-off." A secondary diverter reduces product degradation by ramping the product over the downstream chute edge.

Suspended Plate Magnets (SPM)
DM Suspended Magnets (SPM) are designed for high separation performance in over-the-belt conveyor applications. These heavy duty permanent magnets incorporating all welded construction are particularly effective in removing tramp metal in high volume applications.
Available in six standard as well as custom sizes, these SPM magnets meet most separation applications.
To simplify cleaning the magnet of captured tramp metal, an optional stainless steel slider plate is available.
Supplied with nine 3/4-10 tapped mounting holes in the backing plate and four eye bolts, these suspended magnets can be rigidly mounted with threaded bolts or hung by eye bolts using cable or chain systems.

Manufactured in standard widths ranging from 4" to 72" Characteristics of Product - Dry/Free-flowing density NOTE: FF designs are recommended for above flow because of optimum reach out capabilities. NOTE: Where wet, fibrous, or dense burdens prevail, go to next strong model. NOTE: Above chart is based on material speeds up to 200ft/min and angle of flow under 45 degrees. For 200 to 325 FPM, or, if flow angle is 45 to 75 degrees, use two plate magnets spaced 6 inches apart (or 4 pole plate). The use of two plate magnets spaced 6 inches apart will permit an increase of 50 percent in net capacity. For 325 to 450 FPM and/or flow angle is 45 degrees to 70 degrees, use three plate magnets installed 6 inches apart (or a six pole plate) * When in doubt, always allow extra magnetic separation capacity to provide protection against unknown variables. |
